<saucerfilm> give me a story, snackulon
<saucerfilm> you ignored my last story like a week ago. you owe me a story
<snacky> you had a story? I don't remember. here comes mine, though
<snacky> once upon a time, I felt really sick and I got depressed so I cast a spell to end the world.
<snacky> These spells don't take effect immediately, and they can be reversed. later when I felt better, for those reasons, I was in no great hurry to un-do it since that is time consuming and I was really busy around then
<snacky> eventually I kinda forgot about it (like I said, I was busy)
<snacky> but then something troubling started to happen
<snacky> facts and logic twisted, but nobody could notice or remember the changes but me
<snacky> the old world was a lot different, but in a way that's hard to see. there are some concerning facts about the new world
<saucerfilm> so these spells are kinda like DNS propagation
<saucerfilm> up to 48 hours
<snacky> the main problem is that in the new world, as mankind advances his knowledge and capabilities, he also advances his capability to destroy humanity
<snacky> in the old world which none of you remember because of the spell, knowledge and capabilities always had a tendency to defend mankind from catastrophe
<snacky> I forgot how to undo the spell because you have to remember what you said on the day you cast it, and it's been a while.
<snacky> I don't know what happens next, but, the end.
<snacky> saucerfilm: I didn't see your story! I regret missing it.
<saucerfilm> is your spell related to nameservers? it definitely sounds like a DNS issue. different people seeing different things and whatnot
<kim> I liked that story
<kim> lol saucerfilm
<snacky> saucerfilm: it is not the same as a dns issue, but in the pre-spell world, nobody really had to worry about troubleshooting dns propagation issues because it was extremely straightforward.
<snacky> saucerfilm: story.
<saucerfilm> thank you for the storty
<snacky> saucerfilm: the good news (for me) is that I can also cast a spell that should protect me from catastrophe and I will wake up in the re-born world, and we will regenerate humanity and do it all over again.
<saucerfilm> regenerate humanity.... sexually?
<snacky> yes in part.
<snacky> btw, the previous time the world ended, it was due to an enormous nuclear exchange. the participants deliberately set off many groundbursts to make the fallout afterwards as bad as possible
<snacky> the mushroom clouds touched both the ground and the sky, like the wolf jaws
<krut> snacky: are you a scientologist too?
