I'm a pretty Walras-Arrow-Debreu plus Delanda-Prigogine guy, but all the important features of capitalism as a wider system of allocating productive resources can be traced to isomorphisms in wildly divergent theories. that's the sentence that offended me the most, but the whole paragraph is bad I have no idea what it means but it sounds pretty technical it means "I am wearing a turtleneck sweater and a beret" skedar: no offense --- while not EVERY use of "isomorphism" is deplorable, a good rule of thumb is to use synonymous words or phrases when not writing about mathematics relatedly, you can also stop saying "there exists" and just say "there is" "there exists an isomorphism" <-- go fuck yourself "there's a close analogy" <-- YEEAAAAAH I don't use mathematical terminology to sound smart, but I do use it when it's the most precise terminology close to hand I call other peoples' moms stupid to sound smart
