ok hi, u no me kthx. ok. Well, first off the compiling mame yourself is
in fact more versitile. u can add dats to play games that aren't listed
among other things. as for yew, since i no u ;-) , and knowing that u
play online occasionally with friends like meh :-P , that i could provide
u with some steps to re-assure that u're doing things right. first off,
when we played online the other day, we didnt involve ourselves with
neo-geo games, hence i suggest u download the latest neogeo bios rom
"neogeo.zip" Perhaps u dont have the newest version of the bios that
mame recognizes. Second, u have left us with little information to work
with. What exactly did mame do?? did it give u any messeges, perhaps
missing a rom in the set?? If u d/l the rom from here, it should work. If
not then the only conclusion is that u are missing or maybe have an
out-dated version of the neo-geo bios rom. It works just like a game,
u place it in your roms directory, in zip format. If that doesnt work
than u down right have the wrong romset, are missing the parent romset,
or are using a version of mame that does not support the set u have
