let's say channel 10 is a special premium channel. you could, for example, put filters that BLOCK channel 10 on every home UNLESS they pay for that channel this used to be a common practice. so, lots of people learned to figure out where the filters were located, and removed them pretty much every single analog security mechanism ever used has been defeated (also before my time) your mom has been defeated!
